/etc/init.d - Single User per Computer Startup
This is the normal way to start Rivendel having only one Linux user that is declared in /etc/rd.conf in the [Identity] Section as AudioOwner=.
pam_rd - PAM Rivendell Module - Multiple Linux Users per Computer Startup
Using PAM and the Rivendell PAM Module (pam_rd) it is possible to have multiple linux users log in on the same computer. PAM will take care of permissions for running programs and files.
